Family walking

Walking is one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier. Getting outdoors and being at one with nature will also do wonders for both your mental and physical health.

Blaby District is home to some stunning parks, including Bouskell Park and the picturesque Glen Parva Nature Reserve. Walking is a form of exercise that can be enjoyed as part of your daily routine and even a 10 minute brisk walk will provide you with many health benefits. Walking can be enjoyed alone or can be done in an organised group or with friends making it the perfect social activity. Simply put, walking is an activity that can be enjoyed by everyone. To get started, all you need is a pair of comfortable shoes or trainers and then you can venture out on a local route that suits you!
