Glen Parva Dorothy Avenue Playing Field
Dorothy Avenue Playing Field comprises of a large area of open space perfect for games and sports along with two play parks. There is also a brand new Multi- Use Game area, with Cricket, Basketball and Football markings. On site situated within the Library is a fantastic cafe ran by volunteers where you can grab a coffee and homemade cake!
The park is situated close to Glen Parva Nature Reserve which consists of beautiful trail links with the Grand Union Canal, Great Central Way, Sustrans Cycle Route and rich flora and fauna so there’s plenty of options to enjoy this great space!

A Green Flag award winning location with walks over the fields and along side the Grand Union Canal. The path through this area is part of the Sustrans cycle route and links up with the Great Central Way and Aylestone Holt Spinney. This site is ideal for picnics in the summer and to spend time with the family.

Glen Parva Health Walk
The Active Blaby team co-ordinate and sometimes lead a series of walks designed to get people moving. These Health Walks are quite short in length, relatively easy in pace and are delivered in a way to get you moving as a first step to building activity into your day. They are also a great chance to socialise with other like minded people and have some fun too!!
