Positive Activity Referral Scheme (PARS)
About the Positive Activity Referral Scheme (PARS)
The Positive Activity Referral Scheme (PARS) aims to introduce young people and their families to a supportive physical activity pathway, helping them increase their activity levels in a safe and encouraging environment. The scheme focuses on building self‑confidence and reducing anxiety around sport and physical activity.
Offer for Blaby District Residents
Blaby residents can access the PARS 12‑week Leisure Membership at Enderby Leisure Centre. This membership provides young people and their families with access to a range of local sport and leisure facilities. Each participant is assigned a PARS Co‑ordinator, who will support the family throughout the process and help them make the most of the offer.
Support for Oadby & Wigston Residents
Families living in Oadby and Wigston will be signposted to Everyone Active. Everyone Active will then contact the family directly with the relevant PARS information and next steps
PARS is a supportive initiative designed to help young people and their families use physical activity as a positive tool to overcome a wide range of challenges. The scheme not only benefits physical health, but also plays an important role in improving mental wellbeing. Through regular participation and guided support, young people can build confidence, reduce anxiety, and develop new and more positive relationships.
